Join Lehigh Hillel in welcoming the incoming class of 2021! We'll be hosting a number of events at the Jewish Student Center, 216 Summit Street, so stop on by and get to know our home away from home at Lehigh and meet other members of Hillel! 

Jewish Student Center Open House - Thursday, August 24, 11 am - 1 pm

Faux Friday Shabbat - Friday, August 25, First Shift 5 - 6:30 pm, Second Shift 6:30 - 8 pm, First years sign up through orientation events, returning students welcome to join

Welcome Back Havdalah and S'mores - Saturday, September 2, 8 pm 

Dorney Park Trip - TBD

In addition, we host Shabbat Services and Dinner every Friday night during the semester. Services begin at 6 pm, with dinner at 6:30 pm.

Join AEPi on Tuesday, May 2 at 4:10 pm for a silent march on Lehigh's campus in remembrance of those lost during the Holocaust. Meet at the UC Front Lawn flagpole and please wear black clothing. The march will end at a talk given by Holocaust survivor, Herta Baitch, at 5 pm in Chandler Ullman Room 230.

Join this discussion with Rabbi Danielle Stillman and Professor Hartley Lachter on Monday, May 1 from noon - 1 pm at the Dialogue Center, 661 Taylor St.   This discussion will explore the history of anti-Semitism, recent events, and how we can respond.

There will be Kosher for Passover dining options again this year in Rathbone and Lower Cort for those on meal plans and for purchase.  We will also be stocking up the Jewish Student Center with plenty of Kosher for Passover snacks and ingredients for cooking.

Dr. Alice Eckardt, Professor Emeritus of Religion Studies and a preeminent scholar of the Holocaust, returns to Lehigh on Feb. 8th to discuss Hitler's rise to power and parallels to the 2016 American election. 
 
The talk will take place in Williams Hall in the Roemmele Global Commons from 4-6pm. There will be a question and answer period after the lecture.

The Chaplains Office is pleased to be offering an Interfaith Dialogue Trip to Israel/Palestine over Spring Break.  This will be an extraordinary chance to encounter the many religions and cultures of Israel and Palestine, learn their history, and hear how religions are trying to work together in areas of conflict.  The trip will be highly subsidized.  For more information please be in touch with Rabbi Danielle or Lloyd Steffen.  Click here for the application.

AN IMAM AND A RABBI AN UNORTHODOX FRIENDSHIP Talk Back with Imam Khalid Latif and Rabbi Yehuda Sarna New York University “Of Many” program at Lehigh University supported by an interfaith dialogue and ethics grant from The Philip and Muriel Berman Foundation It's fifteen years after 9/11. With this and the Arab-Israeli conflict as a backdrop, “Of Many” documents the lives of Khalid Latif and Yehuda Sarna, the Muslim and Jewish Chaplains at New York University, and the development of their interfaith commitment to one another and to the communities they represent.
